" A south side woman asked for $1,000 in a lawsuit Thursday for the loss of her Polish speaking parakeet and English speaking myna bird. The birds died from the "poisonous and insidious" fumes emitted when the coating on a tea kettle burned on her stove, said Mrs. Lucille Pilsnik, 40, of 2455 S. 6th St. The Teflon coating on the kettle was "dangerous to man, beast and birds " her circuit court suit charged." ...
